Call Recording Rules

When using Glyph AI to record and transcribe meetings, ensure compliance with all applicable country, state, local, and organizational laws regarding consent.

Notifying participants that the call is being recorded is required by law in many regions, and adherence is crucial. Glyph AI is a tool, and as outlined in our terms of service, it is your responsibility as the user to notify meeting participants that the recording is taking place.

Obtaining Recording Consent:

  • Verbal notification: Inform participants directly that the call is being recorded.
  • Written notification: Provide notice via email or include it in the calendar invite.
  • Bot Customization: Consider renaming the Glyph AI bot to include terms like "Recorder" to ensure participants are aware.

Meetings Glyph AI Joins:

Upon signing up, Glyph AI will prompt you to review your meeting settings. Based on these settings, Glyph AI will join the designated meetings as a participant. Please review and adjust your meeting settings accordingly.

Removing Glyph AI from a Call:

During video conferencing, Glyph AI joins as a participant named "Glyph AI Notetaker" unless otherwise customized. If a participant requests the removal of Glyph AI from the meeting, the host can remove Glyph AI as a participant. If removed within the first 3 minutes, no audio will be processed. You can also remove Glyph AI via the dashboard at app.joinglyph.com/setting.

Deleting an Existing Meeting:
